Why Your Artist Application Was Declined (and How to Reapply)

Common reasons registrations are declined and how to strengthen your reapplication

Written by Soul Artists Support

Soul Artists is a curated platform for professionals — every application is reviewed manually, and we approve only a small fraction of profiles. If yours was declined, it is rarely personal and usually fixable.

The most common reasons

  • Not enough media, or media below the quality bar. The minimum is 4 high-quality photos of you performing and 1 high-quality promo video (YouTube or Vimeo). Phone snapshots, flyers, or logos don't count.

  • Irrelevant or misrepresentative content. Photos and videos must show you and your act — not stock imagery or other performers.

  • Incomplete profile. Missing bio, packages, specialty tags, or contact details make a profile impossible to assess.

  • Wrong category or tags. If your act doesn't match your selected art type, specialty, or genre, reviewers can't place you.

How to reapply

  • Fix the gaps above — a professionally shot showreel and photo set makes the single biggest difference.

  • Update your profile and reply to your registration email, or contact admin@soulartists.net asking for a re-review. Reviews normally take 2–3 working days.
