What the booking covers
Your artist is booked for the setup and performance times agreed in the booking. Artists are not obliged to perform beyond the agreed finishing time, though many are happy to when they can.
Extending on the day
Short extensions of up to 15 minutes are commonly accommodated at the artist's discretion.
For anything longer, agree the extra time and rate with the artist directly. Overtime payment is arranged between you and the artist, so confirm the amount before the extension starts.
Whenever possible, put the agreement in writing — a quick message in the Soul Artists Messenger protects both sides.
The better option: book it in advance
If you think you might want a longer performance, tell the artist before the event or include it in your booking request. Pre-agreed time is guaranteed, usually better value, and covered by the platform's payment protection.
