VAT & Invoices: How Billing Works for Artists

How invoices, VAT, and receipts work on Soul Artists bookings

Written by Soul Artists Support

Here is how invoicing and VAT work when you get booked through Soul Artists.

Invoices are automatic

Automatic payments and invoices are part of the platform. Clients receive an invoice by email after paying, and you receive an email confirmation with an invoice or transfer receipt attached with every payout. Need a copy reissued? Email bookings@soulartists.net.

How VAT applies

  • UAE VAT is 5%. Prices shown in our guides and packages generally exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • VAT is calculated at the invoice-item level and rounded to the smallest currency unit, following Stripe's rounding logic — see Rounding rules for packages and fees.

  • The service fee charged on bookings and cancellations is inclusive of applicable VAT.

What you're paid

The amount you quote is the amount you're paid — Soul Artists' commission is charged to the client, and your earnings for each gig are clearly displayed before you apply. See The Soul Artists Service Fee.

Your own tax obligations

Depending on where you're tax resident and your earnings, you may have your own VAT registration or income reporting obligations. Soul Artists provides booking documentation (invoices and payout receipts) you can use for your records, but we can't advise on your personal tax position — for that, consult a licensed tax advisor, or ask us about a legal consultation.

Corporate clients need your details right

Make sure the legal name in your payment info matches your bank account and any registration documents — mismatches delay both payouts and client-side paperwork.
